SCREAM End of Season Update 2022/23
Greetings speedway fans!
I trust that everybody enjoyed the season that was 2022/23.
There was a lot of great action, Lots of great people, and an abundance of great memories ready to deposit in the 'ol happy memories bank. It has been these types of memories that have, and will continue to, shape my love of speedway and it's awesome community.
When I decided that this season was going to be the year that I was going to finally start developing my "dream game" I was initially full of doubt and uncertainty, but the response i have received has been very exciting and humbling. It has been a true thrill to develop SCREAM and to realise that it is indeed enjoyed by others, other than myself.
The idea for this game has existed in my head since i was 13 or 14 years old. (i'm now 43. shh). To see it come into fruition has been mind-blowing.
To actually have Premier Speedway, Warrnambool be one of the first members of the SCREAM - Sprint Car Racing Evolved Action on Mud Facebook group was a real moment for me.
Then to get in touch with real life drivers to ask if i could include them in SCREAM - Sprint Car Racing Evolved Action on Mud and have a really positive response. Just wow.

I also had the privilege of speaking with Mr Gavin White, whom i consider the voice of Premier Speedway, Warrnambool, and got his OK to use some of his superb commentary.(which a lot more will be added very soon)
I now kind of consider SCREAM - Sprint Car Racing Evolved Action on Mud unofficially to be the official Aussie speedway game! who agrees? lol
Thank you to all those who allowed me to spam you with my SCREAM cards, and to those who stopped and asked "are you that dude that made that game". Yes. and Thank you.
So that's season 22/23 done, but not the growth and development of SCREAM! I will be updating it as often as i can. and the source code, for those interested, will be getting released to the GitHub Code repository REAL SOON! I Promise.
This Update includes: New Main Menu, 6 Car Designs, Lap Counter, Improved Opponent AI (still has some visual bugs but works well), 2 Camera Views, Chase Cam (adjustable), Cockpit Cam
BE AWARE there is a smallish (5-10 sec) pause when loading the track and cars. (I am working on a loading bar script to visually show this), But just wait, it isn't frozen.
JUST A REMINDER: The PC version (Windows or Linux) is the only tested version. The browser version should "work" depending on your hardware. The recommendation, for now, is to download and play on a laptop or PC. but like i said the mobile web version should work.
